Function And Precautions Of Infusion Set

An infusion set is a common medical consumable that is sterilely processed to establish a channel between the vein and the medication for intravenous infusion. It is generally composed of eight parts connected by intravenous needle or injection needle, needle guard cap, infusion hose, medicine filter, flow rate regulator, drip pot, cork puncturer, air filter, etc. Some infusion set machine also have injection parts and medicine filling port, etc.

1. Precautions for use

(1) The product can only be used for gravity infusion.

(2) The use of the product is strictly prohibited if the product is invalid or the package is broken.

(3) Single-use, open and use, destroy after use.

(4) 20 drops of distilled water is equivalent to 1ml±0.1ml.

(5) Suitable temperature for use: 10～40℃.

(6) The storage and transportation of this product should pay attention to moisture-proof, heat-proof, sun-proof, pressure-proof, etc.

2. Use guide

(1) Before use, check whether the package is damaged and whether the sheath is off, otherwise it is not allowed to use.

(2) Close the flow regulator, remove the sheath of the puncture device, pierce the puncture device into the infusion bottle and open the air inlet cap (or insert the air inlet needle).

(3) Hang the infusion bottle upside down and squeeze the dropper with your hand until the medicine enters about 1/2 of the dropper.

(4) Loosen the flow regulator, place the medicine filter horizontally, drain the air, and you can infuse.

(5) Before use, insert the infusion needle connector tightly to prevent leakage.

(6) Infusion operation should be performed and supervised by professional nursing staff.
